2024-2025

Box Hill RSL Display

Members of the Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai planned, organised and installed a display in the Box Hill Returned and Services League lounge. The rotating display, which will run all year, features Japanese art swords, fittings and a suit of armour, dating from the 14th to 19th century.

2024-2025

Consulate-General Display

At the request of the Consulate-General of Japan, the Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai organised and set up a display in the lobby of the offices of the Consulate-General of Japan in Melbourne. The display which ran from November 4 to January 13th featured a selection of Ukiyo-e, Inrō and Netsuke from the 17th to 19th century.

2024

Artvisory Gallery Display

In conjunction with the Australia Asian Collections Society and the Artvisory gallery, the Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai contributed to a display titled 'Life and Creation - Part 1'. The display which ran from the 3rd - 6th of October featured a Japanese helmet, sword mount, sword stand and selection of sword fittings with motifs featuring animals and mythical creatures.

2023-2024

Consulate-General Display

The Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai organised and set up a display in the lobby of the offices of the Consulate-General of Japan in Melbourne. The display which ran from October 2023 to February 2024 featured a selection of Japanese sword mounts, fittings and armour from the late 15th to late 19th century.

2023

Melbourne Kyudo Kai Display

In conjunction with the Melbourne Kyudo Kai, the Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai put on a Kyudo themed display with both modern and period archery equipment which ran from September 4th to October 31st.

2022-2023

Consulate-General Display

The Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai arranged and installed a display in the lobby of the offices of the Consulate-General of Japan in Melbourne. The display which ran from December 2022 to February 2023 featured a selection of Japanese helmets, sword mounts and fittings from the late 15th to mid 19th century.

2018

2014

NGV Bushido: Way of the Samurai

Members of the organisation contributed Japanese art swords, fittings and armour to the National Gallery of Victoria's Bushido: Way of the Samurai exhibition, which ran from July 4th to November 4th. The exhibition brought together over 200 objects from the NGV and Australian collections and was exceptionally popular and well received.

2006

Hamilton Art Gallery: Arcs of Steel

Members of the Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai provided items for the Hamilton Art Gallery's: Arcs of Steel exhibition, which ran from the 19th of July to the 17th of September. On display were Japanese art swords, fittings, firearms and armour.

2006

Benalla Art Gallery: Reflections of the Samurai Spirit

The Gōshū Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kai provided Japanese art swords, fittings, wood block prints, firearms and armour to the Benalla Art Gallery's: Reflections of the Samurai Spirit exhibition, which ran from July 4th to November 14th. The exhibition was opened by Mr Masaharu Ito, the Deputy Consulate-General of Japan.

2003 / 2006 / 2011 

Eley Park Guild Display

Members organised and set up displays for the Antique & Historical Arms Collectors Guild of Victoria's presentation evenings on the 30th November 2003, 27th March 2006 and again on the 30th May 2011. The displays featured Japanese art swords, fittings and information.

2001-2014

Art Gallery of NSW Display

Members of the organisation contributed Japanese art swords and fittings to the Art Gallery of New South Wales for a number of exhibitions. These exhibitions ran almost continuously from 2001 through to 2014.
